2021 Green and Whitegold Festival:  A Safe Event

We want everyone who comes to St Austell for the Green and Whitegold Festival to feel confident and comfortable at the event.

As we publish these pages it is yet uncertain whether all remaining social distancing restrictions will be lifted on the 21st June, and as such, we’ve planned to run the event under current ‘section 3’ guidelines.

We are equally committed to ensure the comfort of our festival facilitators, volunteers and staff as we are to our public visitors, so please everyone remember HANDS, FACE, SPACE and be thoughtful and respectful to others.

The vast majority of events are taking place outside

Any cover we provide for outdoor areas will be open sided to ensure air flow

There will be increased distances between stalls and stands to enable pedestrian flow throughout town

Hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities will be provided throughout the festival footprint

Workshop leaders will be asked to wear masks if they are likely to be in closer contact with members of the public (unless medically exempt)

Tools used for workshops and workshop tables will be cleaned in between uses

Performances will be ‘on the move’ so to avoid gathering of larger crowds

Some indoor spaces will have a directed one way system

Indoor spaces may require you to wear a a mask (unless you are medically exempt) and you will be reminded of this at the door if this is the case.
