Charlestown Beach

Incredibly picturesque and popular with both locals and thousands of visitors every year, Charlestown beach is a great place to relax and enjoy some fresh sea air.

Separated by the historic harbour, the mixed sand and pebble beach is accessed by steps on the eastern side and slipway on the western.

There is various on-street and paid-for parking throughout Charlestown and dogs are not permitted on the beach between 1st April and 30th October.

With a host of attractions, shops, cafes, ice cream sellers, pubs and restaurants, a day at at Charlestown means you’re never too far from everything you need to make the perfect summer’s day.
