Green homes for the 21st Century
500 acres of stunning landscapes, rolling hills, meadows, scenic lakes and a stone’s throw from the beaches of St Austell Bay. West Carclaze Village is being developed on land formerly used for mineral extraction and processing by Imerys offering the opportunity for sustainable living in beautifully designed, energy efficient homes within a stunning and uniquely Cornish location with on-site renewables off-setting energy use.
The village centre will be the main focus of new and improved public transport facilities, including buses, electric bike hire and car clubs, offering a variety of sustainable transport options for travelling to and from The Garden Village. At the heart of the new community, the village centre will be a bustling hub of activity with a community centre, doctors’, dentists, vets, local shops and a 420-place primary school and nursery run by ACE Academy.
Formed in 2010 Eco-Bos is a joint venture between Orascom Development and Imerys to develop a series of sustainable communities in Cornwall. The venture was originally conceived as part of the UK government’s Eco-Town competition to promote the growth of sustainable communities. The Eco-Bos vision to rehabilitate land that was formerly used for mineral extraction and processing champions the aspirations for a new breed of town with sustainable living at its heart. With a pipeline of around 5,000 properties in Cornwall, Eco-Bos is committed to the long-term, creating beautiful homes in thriving communities, enhancing the stunning natural landscape and celebrating the Cornish past while helping to create a new greener future.
