Par athletics track

Run, ride, relax, repeat – a community green space and meeting place to kick a ball about, run free, ride hard and run by the community. Par Track is part of a park comprising an all-weather floodlit athletics track, three/four football pitches, pavilion, gym, children’s play area and skate park.

Many different activities take place at the Par athletics track such as:

Bootcamp: 45-minute Full body work out, get fit 5 days a week. This is a progressive programme designed to kicking your body back into gear, its targeted body weight exercises preformed till exhaustion, geared toward all fitness levels. Modifications are always offered for the beginner to the advanced. Take fitness to the next level with one of the most effective ways to challenge core strength and stability, while building muscle and increasing cardiovascular endurance.

Legs bums & tums: Targeting the stubborn areas your thighs, bum and stomach, great for those who want to lose weight or even for those who simply want to improve their fitness levels. Our classes generally start with a gentle warm up to music to get your body moving. If you have your own mat please bring it with you as we will be getting down on the ground. 

Keep Fit: Extended warm up to gradually ready the body ready for exercise. The workout is designed to target all major muscle groups. Using body weights with lots of repetitions, to sculpt the whole body. Finishing with full body stretching and lengthening with relaxing breathing techniques. Ideal for everyone including those referred onto the healthy living programme. If you have a mat please bring it with you.

Stretch and strengthen: Lengthening and strengthening all the muscles of the body. Chair and floor-based stretching, toning and increasing the range of movement at the joints increasing your mobility. This class allows time in each movement providing a deeper relaxation leaving you feeling supple and refreshed. Designed for all levels and abilities.

Circuits: A fun way to challenge yourself, one minute at each station to complete as many repetitions as you can before the buzzer. Multiple rounds of exercises, using a variety of exercises to target the whole body and boost your metabolism through a mix of muscular fitness and cardiovascular strengthening.

Deep stretch: Holding each pose, a little longer to really lengthen those tight muscles, this will be a very relaxing class moving through the muscles of the body from top to bottom ensuring every muscle is targeted, gentle music designed to help you relax, finishing with progressive muscle relaxation technique and a moments reflection. You must bring your own mat to this class we will spend a great deal of the time on the ground.
