New School Gets the Go Ahead

Sky Primary and Eden Project Nursery expected to open September 2022.

Planning permission for the school and nursery has been approved by Cornwall Council. Set to be one of the first Net Zero Carbon schools in the country and will have a unique curriculum, where many children will be offered the opportunity to learn in the natural environment.

Kernow Learning will open the eco-school in the heart of the new West Carclaze Garden Village. It will be a 210 place primary school and 26 place nursery for the families of Penwithick & St Austell and the emerging new community in the village.  The expected date of opening is September 2022.

“Thank you for your interest in the proposed new school and nursery.  We will put our heart and soul into providing an outstanding education for the children of this new school which, due to its location, will have unrivalled outdoor based learning.”

Jennie Walker, Kernow Learning Trust CEO
